Anxiety While Driving

self help anxiety tips "I would love to hear about tips for calming anxiety while driving - especially on the interstate. I've been struggling with that for a while - I've driven thousands of miles in the past, but had a panic attack once while driving about 18 months ago and have bee struggling with overcoming it since. It has really been limiting for me. I've done EFT, which has helped prior to driving, but I'm interested in controlling the anxiety while I am actually driving the car."

I love the idea of reducing stimuli while driving to reduce anxiety. I often have to also ask my children to please be quiet when I need to concentrate in some challenging situation.
Sometimes I need MORE stimulation to deal with driving anxiety. Sometimes, turning on the radio or opening a window and hearing sounds outside the car gets me out of my anxious brain and into the present moment. It can be a tricky balance to know when to decrease increase stimuli.
Thanks for an interesting podcast!
