Seek quality connection

  • Spend time with loving and encouraging family and friends.

  • Actively develop good relationships

Switch off shallow distractions

Take a media break. Switch the news for an inspiring TED talk, or reading time. Limit time on Facebook etc and take a walk or a warm bath instead.

Get equipped

Learn the skills that can help you conquer anxiety: breathing techniques, EFT Tapping, the Quick Anxiety Stopper, grounding techniques.

Practice your chosen Slayer skills daily, even if it's just for 5 minutes a day. The key is to do something every single day to support yourself in slaying your anxiety.

Help or serve others

Anxiety is confining condition. It can get us so worried about our thoughts, our fears, our appearance, our future that all we see are our own painful thoughts.

Think about how you might do one of the following:

* Volunteer
* Support
* Contribute

When we step out and do something for someone else it contains anxiety and gets us out of our head and into our heart.

You could try volunteering at a shelter or charity store, help a fiend in need, visit an elderly person and read to them. If going out and meeting people feels too challenging right now, see if you can find something to do from home like a craft activity for fund raising.

When we focus on helping others, we worry less about ourselves.
