How to Calm Anxiety about Driving

Today we’re going to discuss how you can calm yourself before driving.

Make a driving care kit:
  • Rescue Remedy spray or pastilles
  • Lavender oil
  • a flask of water, or refreshing green tea or your favorite herbal tea


Learn some breathing practices you can use while driving
  • the long exhale will help you feel calm
  • Belly breathing will keep you relaxed and focused


Create a calm but stimulating playlist

Use the calm point at traffic lights and stops

Turn your phone off or set your autoresponder for incoming texts

Remind yourself to check in with your body for building tension, relax your jaw and drop your shoulders.
